Ward was born April 15, 1977 in MonroeLouisiana. She was a student at an exclusive Christian elementary school called Monroe Christian School. She was a student at Ouachita High School to complete her second year of studies. However, she moved from there to River Oaks High School after the summer. She was a student at Northeast Louisiana University briefly after her graduation. When she was thirteen years old, Ward began modeling leaving school and moving to New York in order to accomplish this. The beginning of her acting career came a few more years afterward. Initially, in 1970s she was a character who wasn't credited in the show All My Children. A few years later she was a part of the NBC primetime teen drama Malibu Shores. The role she was cast in was Meg Cummings, a virgin at Sunset Beach in 1996. In 1999, she began her film career playing Brittany Foster, the psychotic Brittany Foster of the erotic comedy The In Crowd. The film, which was at first a failure financially in theaters, but later on video-on-demand (VOD), became wildly loved. Ward appeared in Shallow Hal in the year following, in which she played a supportive role. Also, she appeared as a guest in many TV shows and direct-to-DVD movies. In 2009she got the part of Chloe Kmet kothe mother of an unnamed gymna in the ABC Family drama series Make It or Break It being a part in the principal cast for the show's first two seasons. In her private life she was married to David C. Robinson. The couple was blessed with a son who was named Cameron.

Sandra Lee has achieved great recognition on social media thanks to her blackhead and pimple popping removal videos. Dr. Pimple popping has become a cult name for her social media accounts, including You Tube Instagram Facebook. The TLC television show Dr. Pimple Popper has included her throughout the six seasons.
